I've been roleplaying for long enough to make "I've been roleplaying jokes for so long" jokes without a trace of irony. Online, I've been playing Relapse the Ninja in the Gaming Guardians online roleplaying forums for ages. So long that he's earned one of the highest in-character ranks available and nobody minds that I'm never on there anymore. Still, that's one of the advantages of being a ninja.
Naturally I've coded a number of web apps with more than a little to do with gaming. Everybody's favourite Deck o' Many Things has a text based version — this was built before D&D made their own online DoMT that is much cooler than mine, but hey. I'd like to say that in the many years since I made the World of Darkness 1.0 denizen test that such meaningless trifles have gone the way of the Blog-dodo. I'd like to say that. For those people with a more violent nature, there's a Random ammunition generator that's always ready to take suggestions. Keeping with the random theme, there's also the Random magical effect generator.
For those a little bit more refined, but still bored, I've also made a generator of business card sized mazes so you can have a bunch in a meeting and keep yourself occupied. Finally, everyone remember the Cyberpunk Lifepath generator? Well Fuzion has also dumped it, but I scooped it straight back up and automated it. As a fun exercise with friends, I recommend save->refreshing a bunch of these and then trying to make a coherent, entertaining and above all playable backstory as exercises in character generation. Note, character generation not stat generation.
