[21:10] * ThoththeGrey finishes writing. He blows on the ink to dry it a bit and then grabs some string from a belt pouch. A little work and he's soon wearing a sign which reads: "Will Work for Octiron"
[21:10] <Wizzard|GM> It glows slightly, whatever it is.
[21:10] * Relapse grins "That just might work."
[21:11] * Denzine reaches into his backpack and detatches the extra sniper scope, then uses it to examin the glowy-thing.
[21:11] * Relapse raises an eyebrow at the strange illumination and glances up.
[21:11] <Wizzard|GM> Denzine: It appears to be some sort of blimp. Or possibly hot air balloon.
[21:11] <Forsyth> ((Airship, YAY! Sorry)
[21:11] <Wizzard|GM> It's currently floating over the river, just upstream of a bridge a few blocks away.
[21:12] <Denzine> "Possibly the most disturbing vessel I've ever seen. Lets check it out!"
[21:12] * ThoththeGrey looks up to see what everyone else is looking at. "Seems to be a fuzzy glowy thing in the middle of misty things."
[21:12] * Denzine puts the scope back into his backpack
[21:12] <Attrition> ((GASPLANT!!!)
[21:13] * Denzine leads the way to the Blimpy.
[21:13] <Wizzard|GM> (( Shhh.... ))

[21:13] <Relapse> "Why not. Maybe I'll hear where the alchemy guild is on the way."
[21:13] * ThoththeGrey follows along behind Denzine. A good ten feet behind. He does, however, make sure people can see the sign he's wearing.
[21:14] * Relapse follows, keeping an ear out for any thunderous explosions.
[21:14] <Wizzard|GM> As the blimp comes into sight, it is clear that it is not using hot air but some other vapor to control it's height. It also seems to have a straw plunged through the crust of the Ankh river.
[21:15] <ThoththeGrey> "Look. The blimp is drinking the river water."
[21:15] <Relapse> "Great, I do not want to have to cope with blimp vomit."
[21:15] <Denzine> "...That's some sucking power..."
[21:15] <Wizzard|GM> There would appear to be some sort of clockwork fan mounted on the back of it.
[21:16] * Denzine attempts to find large, flat debris to fling onto the Ankh to bridge the gap between the shore and the straw
[21:16] <ThoththeGrey> "What's the story with this river, now?"
[21:17] <Denzine> "Big. Thick. Filthy."
[21:17] <Wizzard|GM> Denzine: You begin to look, but then discover there is a gangplank connecting the blimp to the bridge anyway.
[21:17] <Relapse> "And not safe to stand on, even if it looks like you could."
[21:17] <Denzine> "Ah, terribly convienient." *looks for people guarding the gangplank*
[21:17] * ThoththeGrey closes his eyes and reaches out with his more mystically oriented senses. Is there a spirit left in this river?
[21:18] <Denzine> ((If there is, it's probably a lot like me and ya might wanna pull back now...))
[21:18] <Wizzard|GM> While the river does not seem to have an active spirit, it does have an intelligence. A sort of slow, meandering, all-absorbing one, but it's still there.
[21:19] * Denzine continues looking for gangplank guards.
[21:19] <Wizzard|GM> The gangplank is guarded by a large troll with moss growing on the lower half of his face.
[21:19] * ThoththeGrey clears his throat and calls out to the river, in the tongue of water elementals. "Do you have any octiron? Or maybe some copper springs?"
[21:20] <Denzine> "Ah, wonderful." *Approaches the troll* "Ello there! Wossat?" *indicates the blimp*
[21:20] * Relapse glances at Thoth weirdly "Man... You should have that looked into."
[21:20] <Wizzard|GM> Thoth: You're relatively certain the riveris beginning to talk to you. You are also certain that it will take at least a day to figure out what the first syllable it's starting to utter is.
[21:21] <ThoththeGrey> "All the rivers in all the worlds and I get the only one slower than an Ent. Okay, the river's not going to be any help." He calls out again, burbling in the water tongue. "Thanks anyway!"

[21:28] <Wizzard|GM> He then raises a fist, looks at it straight on, and punches himself in the face.

[21:39] <Wizzard|GM> The wizard looks confused, uncertain, frightened and determined to be brave all at the same time. Confusion and fear seem to be winning.

[21:40] * Denzine runs up the gangplank and tries to catch the blimp before it goes away

[21:42] <Wizzard|GM> The wizardm looking panicked, flings himself over the side before Denzine gets him. Luckily, he hits a soft spot of Ankh, and should be okay,

[21:43] * Relapse strolls across the Ankh to check on the student.

[21:43] * ThoththeGrey looks for the controls.
[21:44] <Wizzard|GM> The blimp has now risen a good bit above the ground.
[21:44] <Wizzard|GM> Er... slushy watery muck.
[21:44] * Denzine watches Relapse' progress with the Student.
[21:44] <Relapse> "...yuck."
[21:45] <ThoththeGrey> "I think we need weight."
[21:45] <Relapse> "Now that I've gone and ruined the pants, to go with the ruined shirt, are you OK?"
[21:45] <Wizzard|GM> The student gets up and sprints away as best he can, losing a shoe in the process.
[21:45] * ThoththeGrey turns to Denzine. "How are you with throwing things?"
[21:45] <Denzine> "Very good. Got a rock?"
[21:45] <Relapse> *yelling* "I'm going to assume that means you're OK.. and that you've given us the blimp of your own free will!"
[21:45] <Wizzard|GM> Relapse: A rope dangling from the underside of the blimp is within reach.

[21:46] <ThoththeGrey> "Oddly enough, yes."
[21:46] * Denzine grabs the rope Relapse is about to grab onto. "I got it!"
[21:46] * Relapse grabs the rope, and if there's enough, attempts to take it back to the troll to anchor it.

[21:49] <Denzine> "Eh, I'm not used to airships." *begins hauling Relapse up*
[21:49] * Relapse looks around to see if there's any high buildings he's aiming for, before realising that the Lady would probably take that as an invite. So he just climbs as fast as he can ((which is quite fast)).
[21:49] <Wizzard|GM> At about the same time Relapse reaches the basket/deck, Thoth figures out the controls, and you clear the fog clouds around the city.

[21:50] * ThoththeGrey steers, for now, to avoid obstacles. Like the other ships."
[21:50] <Wizzard|GM> A slightly larger, dart shaped ship is steering directly for you, and it's flying a Jolly Roger.
[21:51] * Denzine takes out his extra sniper scope and looks at the incoming ship
[21:51] * Relapse tries to get some of the gunk off, not noticing the incoming for the time being.
[21:52] <Wizzard|GM> The oncoming ship has five crewmen, two of which are manning cranks for the rear air-fan.
[21:52] * ThoththeGrey steers away from the pirate ship. He also searches for possible weapon controls. "Guys? Please tell me in Discworld the jolly roger doesn't mean pirates?"

[21:56] <Wizzard|GM> The final crewmember is neither tall nor short, and well dressed. A pistol crossbow hangs on one hip, and a long, finely crafted cutlass on the other.
[21:56] <Wizzard|GM> The ship is gaining on you steadily, but not at a great pace.
[21:56] * ThoththeGrey jibs the vessel, turning it towards the port.
[21:57] * Relapse shifts his weight against the turn "Hey, warning next time!"
[21:57] <Wizzard|GM> About five or six minutes and they'll be at point blank, unless you pull some fancy maneuvers.
