It compiled a second ago. I knew I hadn't changed anything. Flicking with the speed of aggravation back to my code window I caught a glimpse of.. something. Someone, a tiny winged creature who had ripped a semi-colon from a line of code and was flying off with it. Before I could blink, she was gone. All she left in her wake was a small ripple on my screen and bugs that kept me up the rest of the night
Code Fairies are fae that have been appearing more and more frequently as life becomes more automated. Adept at hiding between lines of text, only late-night coders who've had their minds freed by lack of sleep and over caffienation (plus a small measure of desperation) have seen these creatures.
Barely bigger than your thumb, these creatures take vital bits of code in the form of small ASCII characters with them to their home dimension for purposes unknown. Some philosophers have theorized they're debugging their own dimension, and they can only get fit code from the lines of others. These philosophers also say that leaves are actually tree ears and every autumn they organize a silent protest to try and get everyone to shut up. They're happy, I suppose.
Code Fairies fled combat as much as possible until recent years, whereupon they sate their aggressive tendances by piloting Bots in multiplayer games. When people say "CHEAT!", this can either be a real cheat or a Code Fairy who's sewing trouble.
ReBug (Sp)By diving through code itself, the Code Fairy attracts various amazingly important sections of code to themselves (;, ', " etc.). This imposes massive penalties on other characters Construct Program rolls.
Hide In Code (Ex) As long as code is behind them, by concentration they can hide themselves; giving them +8 to their Hide checks. They can also hide bugs, this gives them a +16 to their hide check.
